Samsung Reportedly Will Release Galaxy Z Flip FE In 2025

Samsung will reportedly launch the Galaxy Z Flip FE (Fan Edition) model in 2025. This news comes after the Korean technology blog, the eux1122, revealed that the launch of the Galaxy Z Flip FE is likely to be in conjunction with the Galaxy Z Flip 7.

The Galaxy Z Flip FE is predicted to be a more affordable version of the Galaxy Z Flip series, which has been known as a foldable phone at a premium price.

In terms of specifications, the Galaxy Z Flip FE is expected to have a longer flagship processor or even a middle class SoC, 128GB of basic storage instead of 256GB, smaller RAM capacity, as well as simpler camera settings than the main model.

Samsung's move appears to be a response to an increasingly competitive foldable market, where competitors such as Motorola and Nubia have launched affordable foldable phones in the last 18 months. Motorola Razr 2024, for example, was released at a price of around $699.

Samsung itself also provides hints on its Q3 2024 financial report that it is considering ways to lower the price of foldable products so that more consumers can enjoy it, given the high level of user satisfaction on their foldable phones.

The report also states that sales of this year's Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 series have decreased compared to the previous year, and Samsung is expected to need to immediately release a more affordable foldable version.
