JAKARTA - Google Maps on Android and iOS launched a series of updates designed to improve the user driving experience from start to finish. This new feature includes weather disturbance reporting options, more detailed navigation, and ease of adding stops along the route.
When planning a route, users can now view the 'Add Stop' button at the bottom of the screen, allowing users to choose additional stops such as Restaurants, Gasoline Poms, Coffees, or Grocery Stores. Users can also see the distance to that location before adding it to the route.
In navigation, the map is now more informative about the appearance of lanes, zebra crossings, and clearer road signs. The blue marker feature will show the right path so that users don't get the wrong path while driving.

The weather reporting feature is now also available, allowing users to report conditions such as Unspeled Roads, Limited Views, or Flood Roads, so that other drivers can be more careful.
When the trip ends, Google Maps will display a location guide with a special sign at the entrance to the building, as well as show the nearest parking area. Users can also save parking locations and get road directions with the help of AR Live View.
The update began rolling out globally this week for stopping features and weather reporting, while updated driving navigation will be coming next month in more than 30 metro regions.
