Minister Of Home Affairs Makes Working Visits To NTT To Ensure Internet Equity

JAKARTA - Minister of Communication and Digital Meutya Hafid made his first working visit to Kupang Regency, East Nusa Tenggara to check the internet network around the area.

Meutya said that her visit to SMP Negeri 6 Amarasi had actually been planned before the Red and White Cabinets took part in a Retreat activity in Magelang.

"That I want to go to an area where the internet can really help, especially for education and also later for health," said Meutya in her official statement.

This visit is in accordance with Meutya's promise when he was first sworn in. At that time he said that one of his focuses as the new Minister of Communication and Trade was to ensure equal distribution of the internet in all corners of Indonesia.

According to him, this working visit is part of an important directive from President Prabowo Subianto for equitable development without distinguishing between cities and villages.

"Because the form of justice for connectivity is the 3T area which is not yet fully possible to get internet access that is as good as other regions," he said.

Meutya explained that previously, students in Amarasi had to stay at other schools that took a long time to reach them because road infrastructure was not optimal.

However, he is grateful for the internet access service for the BAKTI Aksi Program, students in the 3T area can take the exam using digital connectivity.
