Finally, Pi Network Will Launch Mainnet In Q4 2024

JAKARTA Pi Network, a crypto project founded by Nicolas Kokkalis and Chengdiao Fan, recently announced plans to launch its main network (mainnet) in the fourth quarter of 2024. This is good news for the worldwide Pi Network community who are looking forward to the mainnet by the end of the year.

For additional information, Pi Network, which is known for its mining model through smartphones, has been considered one of the most innovative crypto projects. With more than 55 million active community members worldwide, the project has a strong user base.

The core Pi Network team said that the launch of the mainnet would be an important step in realizing their vision to create a broad Web3 ecosystem that could be used in real terms.

Over the past few months, Pi Network has given its users a grace period to complete the Know Your Customer (KYC) process and migrate to the beta mainnet. The development team hopes that the launch of this mainnet will take Pi ecosystem to the next stage, namely an open network that allows wider interaction with crypto exchanges and other blockchain networks.

In addition, Pi Network also introduced a new feature in the form of an on-chain wallet lockdown designed to increase mining levels for Pioneers who managed to migrate to the mainnet and lock their tokens. The initiative was launched in conjunction with the celebration of Pi2Day in September 2024, as part of efforts to accelerate the user's transition to the main network.

Pi Network is not only focused on mining but also focuses on developing blockchain-based applications that are ready to be used on the mainnet. The development team targets at least 100 applications to be released along with the launch of the mainnet.

Even so, Pi Network is not immediately separated from a number of problems that must be faced. One of the biggest challenges is to ensure 15 million users have successfully completed KYC verification. Pi Network is also targeted to complete the migration of 10 million users to the beta main net before the main network is fully launched.
