Google Doodle Today Celebrates Last Crescent In October

JAKARTA Google features the latest doodle on Thursday, October 24 with the theme Rise of The Half Moon. In accordance with its title, Google wants to celebrate the moon half or the last crescent moon in October.

In Google Doodle this time, the company carries game and space concepts. When Google Search users click on doodles seen in the middle or above the screen, users will open an interactive game page in the form of a monthly card.

This game will invite visitors to fight the lunar character by testing knowledge about the lunar cycle. Based on Google's explanation, players will be asked to connect the lunar cycle to get a win.

"Join the card game where players have to connect the phases of the lunar cycle to get points and fight the Half Moon October. If you are skilled enough to beat the moon, you may be rewarded," Google said.

The sickle is a phase that appears about two to three days after the new moon forms. Although known as the crescent moon, scientifically, scientists often refer to astronomical objects as a quarter moon because of its shape.

However, the term month a quarter is still so foreign that the name of the half month appears. Although calculationally this month's time has not reached half, it looks like half a month.

In the first quarter phase, the moon will enter the young half moon phase with very bright light. This light will remain the same until the next full moon phase. When entering the last quarter, the phase currently celebrated by Google, the moon will be darker before entering the new moon phase.
