JAKARTA Apple will allow users to change iCloud email after iOS 18.1 is launched. With this new capability, users can delete unused emails.

Currently, iCloud users can only change their main email address with the desired email. Even if it can be replaced, the email address previously used is still linked to iCloud and will still get an email from Apple.

However, when iOS 18.1 was launched at the end of October, changing the main email address and removing it from iCloud would be an easy thing to do. According to MacRumors' findings, this new capability can be accessed through settings.

In the email address used in iCloud, users will see the Primary Email or Main Email option. If the user clicks on the toggle button on the option, the incoming email will be the main email address, and vice versa.

At the bottom of the Main Email option, users will see the Delete menu from the Account. If the user has been using iCloud for a long time, but the first email used is no longer active, users can now delete it from iCloud.

If users want to change their iCloud email address, they only need to open Settings, then click the account name. After that, select Sign in and Security, select the desired email address, then click the Change Email Address button.

Previously, the two email addresses linked to iCloud would get email related to iCloud updates or notifications. However, once this Account Delete option is released, the key email address that has been changed will not receive a message back.
