National Cybersecurity Connect 2024: Huawei Encourages Cybersecurity Resilience For Indonesia Digital 2045

JAKARTA - In order to strengthen cybersecurity resilience in Indonesia, global ICT infrastructure providers and smart devices Huawei participated in the 2024 National Cybersecurity Connect (NCC).

This important annual forum organized by the Association of National Information and Communication Technology Operators (APTIKNAS) and the Indonesian Industrial Digital Transformation Council (WANTRII) aims to build digital trust and protect Indonesia's digital sovereignty.

Through this forum, Huawei affirms its commitment to supporting the development of cybersecurity ecosystems in Indonesia on its way to Indonesia Digital 2045.

"We hope that through this NCC 2024 event, we will get some important recommendations that we can convey to the Government for the sake of strengthening national cyber security," said Slamet Aji Pamungkas, Deputy for Cybersecurity and Economic Passwords, National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN).

Director General of Informatics Applications of the Ministry of Communication and Information, Hokky Situngkir, who was also present at the forum, also emphasized the need for digital literacy to build public awareness of the importance of cybersecurity.

Kian Chen, Vice President, Huawei Indonesia also believes that digital trust is the foundation of Indonesia's digital prosperity when heading to a smart and digital world.

Digital trust is more than just a value, it's an ecosystem. We are proud to be working closely with stakeholders, both Governments such as BSSN, industry and academics to build and optimize Digital Trust for the sake of Indonesia's digital sovereignty," concluded Kian.
