JAKARTA - Data from the latest survey by Statista Consumer Insights revealed that Indonesia is one of the countries that is enthusiastic about the presence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology.

A survey conducted on 1,000 - 2,000 respondents aged 18-64 years in each country saw 41 percent of respondents in Indonesia express their penchant for the use of AI technology, such as ChatGPT.

The survey results then put Indonesia below Nigeria (47 percent), Vietnam (45 percent), and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) (45 percent) in terms of enthusiasm for AI.

Unlike some countries in Asia and the Middle East that are enthusiastic about the technology, Statista sees that countries in Europe are more skeptical, or at least less enthusiastic, with AI's presence.

This is reflected in the survey results which show that only 27 percent of Portuguese respondents, 24 percent of respondents in the UK and Germany, as well as the Czechs (11 percent), are enthusiastic about the use of AI applications in daily life.

In North America, there are more diverse images, of which less than one in five US adults say they are excited about Al in everyday life (18 percent), compared to 28 percent of respondents in Canada and Mexico.

With the development of AI technology in various sectors, Indonesia shows great potential in the adoption and utilization of artificial intelligence, both in daily life and in the business world.

This survey reflects the growing optimism in Asian countries, including Indonesia, for the future increasingly supported by AI technology.
