JAKARTA - Google is now expanding its Google Lens capabilities by launching a video search feature that allows users to find information based on the video clips they recorded. This feature was first announced at the Google I/O 2024 event and has become available to more users. This feature aims to improve the way users interact with the world around them and facilitate the discovery of information directly from video content.

Google Lens video search features allow users to record short videos using their cameras and immediately ask questions related to objects or situations in the video. For example, if users record videos about specific objects, they can ask Google Lens about more information about the object, what the object's function is or where it can be found.

Once the video is recorded, Google will display relevant search results based on recorded video content. In areas that support the AI Overviews feature, users will also receive responses generated by artificial intelligence, providing more detailed and comprehensive information.

To use this feature, users can open Google Lens and press the camera's core button to record short videos of objects they want to know more about. During the recording process, users can ask vocal questions about the recorded object. Once the recording is complete, Google Lens will display search results related to topics discussed in the video.
