BANDUNG - Following the massive technological development, PT Pos Indonesia officially launched the first Prangko NFT (Non-Fungible Token) in Indonesia, in conjunction with the 79th Bhakti Postel Day Commemoration.

"Yes, this is one of the breakthroughs between PT. POS Indonesia by making the NFT stamp earlier, and I think it will be one of the first steps to enter the digital economy," said Deputy Minister of Communication and Information, Nezar Patria, to the media on Friday, September 27 at the Head Office of PT Pos Indonesia in Bandung.

With the launch of this NFT stamp, Indonesia has joined two countries in Southeast Asia, namely Thailand and Malaysia, which have already adopted this technology in the filateli world.

Later, this NFT stamp will not only function as a legal tender for goods delivery, but also as one of the collectible objects that can be easily owned by everyone.

"Well, this NFT stamp is more likely to be in collectible items. So the objects in the collection and prices will continue to rise, and are more easily owned by the entire world," said the President Director of PT Pos Indonesia, Faizal R. Djoemadi.

According to him, having or buying physical stamp collections is still very difficult. Where the public must order it first. Meanwhile, NFT stamps can be obtained immediately that day.

If NFT is already on a blockchain-based digital platform, it can be easily transferred via digital. And this is twin. So this NFT stamp has a physical stamp and digital stamp," continued Faizal.
