Samsung Releases One UI 6.1.1 Android 14-Based Update For Galaxy S24 In More Countries

JAKARTA - Samsung has finally started rolling out an update to the One UI 6.1.1 based Android 14 operating system in more countries. After initially only being available on its home market, South Korea, this latest update has now been released for users of the Galaxy S24 series in other regions.

The One UI 6.1.1 update was first announced in conjunction with the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6. This update presents a number of new features that were previously only available on the foldable flagship smartphone.

After the launch in South Korea, Galaxy S24 users in the United States and China can also enjoy this update. In China, an update comes with a version of the S9280ZHU3AXH7 firmware, while in the United States it uses the S928USQU3AXH7 version.

In addition, the Galaxy S24 series in Europe is also scheduled to receive this update soon. One UI 6.1.1 is also equipped with a security patch in August 2024 and is a major update with a size of more than 2.8GB.

For users who want to check if an update is available on their device, they can go directly to the 'Settings' menu, then select 'Complete Device Update', and click 'Download and Install'. However, as this update is still in a limited release stage, users in other countries are expected to get it soon in the coming days.

The One UI 6.1.1 update brings many new features that take advantage of artificial intelligence. Several interesting new features include Sketch to Image capabilities, Portrait Studio, Composer improvements, Live Translate, as well as support for third-party calling and messaging applications. Users can also translate text in images on websites more easily.

In addition, this update allows users to summarize text in PDF files and translate them without having to convert documents into other formats. Other features include real-time interpretations, listening modes for interpretation, improvements on Samsung Keyboard, and automatic language detection. These updates also present dynamic wallpapers that display real-time weather and timing information.
