JAKARTA Just hours after Apple launched the iPhone 16, Huawei is ready to release their newest trifold phone, Mate XT Ultimate Design. Consumers in China seem to be enthusiastic about this product.

Huawei opened a pre-order for Mate XT on September 7, and within two days, the phone has amassed 3 million orders. This figure clearly shows great interest, although not necessarily everything will end in purchases. If interested, then you can make a reservation until September 19, before the official launch on September 20.

For color choices, Mate XT comes in four variants: Dark Black, Crypton Red, Classic White, and Green. In terms of capacity, there is a choice of 16GB RAM with 512GB or 1TB of internal storage.

Regarding specifications, rumors say that the Mate XT can be folded into a 10-inch display with an estimated 8-megapixel punch-hole selfie camera. On the back, the camera system is rumored to have a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 13-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a periscope telephoto lens for a remote zoom moment. This phone is said to be powered by a Kirin 9-series chipset, although specifications have yet to be fully disclosed.

For other details, it is still in the realm of speculation. The price of Mate XT is also still a mystery, but rumors show a figure of around 15,000 Yuan (Rp. 32.5 million) in China. Given the high price and being a foldable phone for the first generation, Huawei may limit its availability in the domestic market for a while.

This is not surprising, given the problem of durability that often arises on early generation foldable phones. Huawei is certainly aware of this, and we have to wait for official disclosures on September 10 to see if the matter has been resolved.
