JAKARTA Spotify users can share the songs they are listening to on Instagram, but this feature is limited in photo or Story posts. In the near future, the integration of these two platforms will be improved. Based on the findings of App Researcher Alessandro Paluzzi, reported by 9to5mac, Meta and Spotify are working on a new feature that can share music in real-time. This feature will display what songs users are currently hearing. This new feature is called Share from Spotify. When users activate the feature through their Spotify account, the songs being heard will be immediately shown on Instagram Notes. When the new song plays, Notes will be updated immediately. Instagram users will see this Spotify activity when they open the Direct Messenger (DM) tab or visit the user profile of Instagram. Unfortunately, it is not yet known whether Notes will continue to display songs when users are out of the Spotify app.

In a description of the Share from Spotify feature, the company explains that its music streaming platform will, "continue to share what they're listening to." If users are annoyed with this feature, they can stop sharing songs at any time. This feature is not yet available to early users or Instagram users in the beta version. However, based on screenshots Alessandro shared, this feature is almost perfect so Spotify and Instagram may be rolling out its features in the near future. It's not yet known if this feature can be used by Spotify users for free. One thing is for sure, this feature will be launched across Spotify mobile apps, both on Android and iOS devices.
