JAKARTA - IBM Indonesia, one of the world's leading software and hardware providers, reiterated that Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology will not replace human roles in all sectors of work.

In fact, according to the company, the majority of CEOs of world companies, including in Indonesia, admit that they have to use AI. Because if not, then they will lose or be left behind compared to humans or workers who use AI.

"So they will be less competitive, as will the company. So the use, its implementation continues to grow very quickly, it's just a matter of how we start finding new use cases or uses," said IBM Indonesia President Director Roy Kosasih on Monday, August 26.

Because according to Roy, by building new use cases, the company will slowly find a function of using AI to increase their productivity and business efficiency.

"With the success of these use cases, it will make the company further increase the use of AI implementation in it. So that it will even develop more," he added.

So that at this time the thing that the government and all other stakeholders need to do is to prepare and print digital talents that are capable of using, implementing, and building AI in the future.

A study from the World Bank and McKinsey said that Indonesia needed 9 million digital talents by 2030. Meanwhile, according to the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Indonesia has so far only been able to produce 100,000 to 200,000 talents per year.

Thus, the collaboration between the Government and the private sector in the field of technology plays an important role in boosting the birth of more digital talents.
