JAKARTA - El Salvador continues to demonstrate its commitment to Bitcoin adoption by announcing training for 80,000 civil servants in the use of digital assets. This step is part of the government's efforts to strengthen competence in the field of public administration through a program designed by the Higher School of Innovation in Public Administration (ESIAP).

The training includes topics such as Bitcoin, blockchain, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence (AI). Quoted from Bitcoin.com News, total Herbert, Director of El Salvador's Bitcoin Office, which is involved in the preparation of this curriculum, states that this training aims to provide the highest standard of instruction to civil servants. This training will create chain effects, promoting higher quality in the public sector of El Salvador," Herbert said.

This training program is part of a public administration certification consisting of nine modules. The modules that include Bitcoin can be completed virtually and asynchronously within 160 hours, making it easier for participants to take part in training according to their schedule.

This step is in line with President Nayib Bukele's vision, which founded ESIAP in August 2021 with the aim of improving the quality of public administration through training and research aimed at all civil servants in El Salvador. This initiative is also expected to be the foundation for the development of the new capital market in the country which focuses on Bitcoin.

In addition to training for civil servants, the government of El Salvador has also started a pilot program introducing Bitcoin content into the school curriculum in September 2023. Herbert hinted that this was just the beginning, with plans for further education announcements in the near future.

With these various steps, El Salvador is further strengthening its position as a pioneer in the adoption of digital assets at the government level. This training is expected to create state apparatus that not only understands Bitcoin, but is also ready to face future technological challenges.
