Google Announces Pixel 9 Pro Fold Phone, Available In Market On September 4

JAKARTA - Google officially announced the presence of the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, Google's newest foldable phone model with a larger screen and thinner design, at the Made by Google 2024 event.

The Pixel 9 Pro Fold combines the best Google hardware and software with slim and advanced designs, advanced camera systems, multiple screens to complete more work, and advanced G4 Tensor processors to support Pixel features.

Design

In addition to larger screens and thin designs, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold has friction-liquid hinges that are easy to fully open with clique sounds. With the Super Actua Flex screen, this foldable phone is 80 percent claimed to be brighter than the other Pixel Folds.

The Pixel 9 Pro Fold is also equipped with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 anti-gores and has an IPX8 rating for water resistance up to a depth of 1.5 meters for 30 minutes.

AI feature

Supported by Google's new Tensor G4 chip, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold brings increased performance and efficiency in various experiences for daily use.

Camera

The Pixel 9 Pro Fold utilizes Google's hardware power and AI capabilities with advanced rear camera triple systems. The Pixel 9 Pro Fold camera also comes with upgrades to the ultrawide camera, which now supports Macro Focus and both front cameras, which now support Face Unlock both on fold and open.

Availability

The Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold is now available for pre-orders, and will be available on the market on September 4 including in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Japan, Netherlands, Norway, Singapore, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Great Britain, United States (except Puerto Rico).
