JAKARTA - Tesla boss Elon Musk announced a new payment method for purchasing Tesla cars. Now consumers can buy electric cars they make using Bitcoin.

This was announced via his personal Twitter account. According to Musk, Tesla uses internal and open-source software to operate Bitcoin nodes.

So Bitcoin paid to Tesla will be retained as a cryptocurrency asset and will not be converted to fiat currency. This process is carried out to prevent cryptocurrency from being transacted twice.

The price of cars produced by Tesla is usually in the range of 37,990 to 124,000 US dollars before tax. Until now, transactions using bitcoin can only be made by those who live in the United States.

Meanwhile, for regions outside the US, this option will only be available at the end of this year. For more information, you can access the "support" page on the Tesla website.
