JAKARTA - The Ministry of Communication and Information (Kominfo) said it would impose takedown sanctions or revoke the list of Electronic System Operators (PSE), to 21 Payment Services Providers (PJP) related to online gambling.
Based on the results of evaluation and monitoring, so far there are 21 PJP with 42 Electronic Systems registered at the Ministry of Communication and Informatics, which are indicated to be related to the use of payment system services for gambling activities.
Based on these monitoring and evaluations, the Ministry of Communication and Informatics asked the organizers to conduct an internal / audit check of their Electronic System services.
Minister of Communication and Information Budi Arie Setiadi gave a maximum of 7 (seven) working days after the warning letter was received.
"In the event that the 7-day deadline of the Ministry of Communication and Informatics has not received the results of the examination, electronic payment service providers will be subject to administrative sanctions based on statutory regulations," said Budi.
