Apple Signs Biden Government's Voluntary Commitment To AI Security

JAKARTA - Apple has joined several other technology companies that have agreed to comply with the voluntary artificial intelligence (AI) protection set by the Joe Biden administration.

Thus, Apple has now joined Microsoft, Meta, Amazon, Anthropic, Google, Inflexion, and OpenAI, which have already joined this voluntary agreement.

Today, the government announced that Apple has signed the voluntary commitment, which further strengthens this commitment as the basis for responsible AI innovations, the US government wrote on its official website Whitehouse.gov.

Nine months ago, President Biden issued an important Executive Order to ensure that America leads in achieving promises and managing the risk of artificial intelligence (AI).

Those who made the promise have committed to complying with eight guidelines related to the development and utilization of AI.

Starting from safety, security, and social responsibility, which include marking social risks such as bias, testing vulnerabilities, watermarking AI-generated images and audio, as well as details of trust and safety with governments and other companies.

Apple's agreement with the US government follows the announcement of the launch of the "Apple Intelligence" platform earlier last month.

Where this new tool will make some major improvements to Siri's AI-backed voice assistant and integrate ChatGPT into the next iPhone software update.

By joining voluntary approval, Apple has now approved a series of White House provisions encouraging developers to follow safety protocols, as well as testing their models for knowing the security risks, which exist.
