Refuse To Leave Binance Executive Medical Notes, A Doctor In Nigeria Detained

JAKARTA - Dr. Abraham Ehizojie, a doctor treating Tigran Imageyan, Nigerian Binance executive, was forced to be detained for controversial reasons. The doctor declined to submit his patient's medical records.

This decision was taken by Judge Emeka Nwite, who followed up on the request of Imagean's lawyer, Mark Mordi. The lawyer claims that his client's medical records have not been provided.

According to Nigerian media reports, Judge Emeka Nwite issued a detention order against Dr. Abraham Ehizojie after Image's lawyer, Mark Mordi, complained that his client's medical records had not yet been submitted. My client came here in a wheelchair, said Mordi. He complains of back pain. We have to be careful with the lives in our hands.

Tigran Gambaryan, a Binance executive who is now in detention in Nigeria, has been granted 24 hours stay permit at a hospital in Abuja to evaluate his health condition. This weak-looking man initially fainted in court in May. After further examination, it was discovered that he had double pneumonia and malaria.

However, theBARyan family confirmed that despite a court order, the crypto executive had been denied appropriate medical treatment while being detained in Kuje prison.

Imagean was initially detained along with another Binance employee, Nadeem Anjarwalla, in late February this year on charges of money laundering. However, many claim that both are just pawns in tension between Nigeria and the global crypto exchange.

In an unprecedented economic crisis situation, the Nigerian government appears to be looking for scapegoats for the financial disasters that hit the country, and crypto exchanges are targeted. They accuse crypto exchanges of being involved in a decline in the value of naira currencies.

Meanwhile, Binance denied these claims and created friction between the two sides. The crypto exchange argues that Imageyan and Anjarwalla were in Nigeria in good faith for a series of crypto policy discussions when they were detained by government officials. Although Anjarwalla managed to escape in March, his whereabouts remain unknown.

This case will be tried again on October 11. Until now, it is not clear whether Imageyan has succeeded in getting medical treatment from a doctor or not.
