JAKARTA - Daihatsu carried out a massive recall for the Terios, Xenia, and Sirion cars. The three types of vehicles reportedly had problems with the fuel pump in the fuel tank and needed repairs.

It is known that 97,290 cars were affected by the recall from the three types of vehicles. A total of 53,246 Xenia cars were produced from 2017 to 2019.

Meanwhile, there were 41,152 Terios units made from 2018 to 2019. Finally, the Sirion totaled 2,892 units made from 2018 to 2019.

"From the results of our investigations, there are impeller problems, such as expanding and bending up to 26 microns. This exceeds the tolerance, which is 19 microns", said Bambang Supriyadi as Astra Daihatsu Motor's Executive Coordinator for the Technical Service Division in a statement.

Daihatsu is campaigning for the repair of the gas station in the tank so that the owners of the car, who are affected by the recall, take their car to the nearest Daihatsu dealer.

"We have prepared 160 official workshops throughout Indonesia. It will take about 1 hour and free", said Bambang.

For Terios, Xenia, and Sirion car owners who were affected will be contacted by Daihatsu. They are also expected to contact Daihatsu Access.
