JAKARTA Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced that Quest headsets are testing the ability to open six windows. Zuckerberg showcased his new capabilities on Horizon OS v67 on Wednesday, July 3. From the video shared on the Threadszuck account, the six windows opened will surround its users with a dense layout. Three windows will be arranged in front of the user, while the other three windows will be placed at the top. The addition of this window is good news for Quest users. The reason is, unlike Apple Vision Pro, where the number of windows is unlimited, Quest is only limited to three. Worse yet, window movement in this headset is also limited. However, this limitation will soon be resolved as Meta also launches the ability to move further. Based on the BMFVR YouTuber report, quoted from The Verge, users can move Quest windows to other places.

Although it can be moved, users cannot put their windows at a distance. So, if Quest users are in the middle of the room, they cannot place the window in the corner of the room or in another room. The capabilities of these six windows will be available on Quest Pro, Quest 2, and Quest 3 in the near future. To find out if OS v67 is available and ready to use, you only need to check Software Update in the system settings. Meta does not only add the number of windows in its latest OS Quest. The company added several other features such as shear typing, QR code scanning to connect Wi-Fi connections, to controls for the duration of the Do Not Disturb mode.
