JAKARTA - Microsoft and LinkedIn's latest report entitled AI at work is here. Now come the hard part, shows 92 percent of employees in Indonesia have used a genrative AI at work.

Interestingly, based on Microsoft's global figure, the percentage in Indonesia is higher than the global figure which is only 75 percent and Asia Pacific is only 83 percent.

Another finding is, where 92 percent of leaders in Indonesia believe in the importance of AI adoption to maintain the company's competitive advantage, higher than global figures (79 percent) and Asia Pacific (84 percent).

However, 48 percent of them said they were worried that leadership in their organization still had no vision and plans to implement AI in the company, lower than the global (60 percent) and Asia Pacific (61 percent) figures.

Therefore, 76 percent of employees in Indonesia have the initiative to bring their own AI device or solution to work (Bring Your Own AI/BYOAI).

However, it is undeniable that this trend has the potential to reduce the benefits that can be achieved when AI is used strategically on a large scale, and carries certain risks to the company's data.

As a result, the company's task in the near future is to consider how to implement large-scale AI in companies, while generating a maximum return on investment (ROI).
