JAKARTA - All iPhone users have been warned not to download the latest updates from Apple - or risk serious damage to their smartphones or apps.

Developers have tested beta iOS 18 since Monday, June 10, uncovering bugs with new text notifications, battery power, photo storage, and 'Kunci and Hide apps' features - among others.

While beta is meant for such experiments, users on average take the risk by downloading it as their primary software.

Apple's newly announced iOS 18 at Apple's annual World Developer Conference (WWDC), which includes ways to customize Home Screens, schedule text messages, lock and hide apps, as well as AI-powered features.

All users can download the updated operating system, which will run as a beta developer on smartphones.

"Our unique approach combines generative intelligence with the user's personal context to provide truly helpful intelligence," Cook said.

ChatGPT will be integrated with Siri, Apple's virtual assistant.

Apple insists that personal user information and their questions will not be recorded or saved by Siri, unlike the normal version of ChatGPT.

This partnership will allow for emojis generated by AI, allowing users to type short prompts in iMessage apps for unique emojis and the system will provide icons as requested.

The technology also allows for a new Clearing tool for the Photo app, which makes photo editing very clean - with no sign that photos have been changed in any way.
