JAKARTA - In his meeting with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), Minister of Communication and Information Budi Arie Setiadi stated the importance of developing countries in the development of global digital technology. 

Budi hopes that Indonesia will not only be a follower or user of technology, but will also participate in the global digital technology supply chain. 

Gabriela Ramos, Assistant Director General for Social Sciences and Humanities, UNESCO, also emphasized the importance of Indonesia's position in prioritizing AI governance and ethics. He hopes that Indonesia will be willing to host the Global Forum on the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence in 2025.

More than 70 ministerial level country delegations and other important elements have attended the Forum in Slovania in February 2024. UNESCO ensures full support in organizing the Global Forum.

At the launch of RAM AI in Indonesia, Deputy Minister of Communication and Information Nezar Patria revealed that RAM AI was an important moment for Indonesia in presenting comprehensive AI governance. 

After the launch of RAM AI, Nezar added, UNESCO will carry out various activities such as interviews with stakeholders and the AI ​​ecosystem in Indonesia.
