JAKARTA - South Korea's Ministry of Defense announced that the country's Cyber Operations Command will take part in US-led multinational cyber training in response to rising security threats from North Korea.
Based on a report by South Korean news agency Yonhap, nine South Korean military personnel are scheduled to attend Cyber Flag online training in Virginia State, USA, which takes place on May 5-11.
The training aims to increase multinational cooperation in the face of cyber threats as well as exchange of intelligence related to cyberattacks carried out by the enemy.

South Korea's military participation in cyber training in Virginia is the third time since Seoul first joined in 2022.
