JAKARTA - Google through its illustrated doodle celebrates the commemoration of International Women's Day, which falls on Monday, March 8, 2021. Google also displays a short, inspirational animated video of women's participation.
This video focuses on showing a number of female hands symbolizing pioneering women who have successfully opened doors and opportunities for other women, especially in male-dominated fields. For example in education, civil rights, academics, arts, and other fields.

This short animated video celebrating International Women's Day is the work of illustrator Helene Leroux. She poured her illustration on the theme 'Women Firsts' as a form of respect for past, present, and future pioneers.
"I wanted to find a way to represent the diverse achievements of women globally while finding out who the specific 'first person' was," said Leroux.
This is also in line with the theme of celebrating International Women's Day 2021, namely 'Women in leadership: Achieving an equal future in a COVID-19 world'.
