JAKARTA Bluesky, Twitter's competitor microblogging platform, announced it had removed the registration ban for the head of state.
"By the way... we lifted the 'without a head of state' policy," Bluesky wrote through an official account on Friday, April 12. With the revocation of this policy, Bluesky appears to be ready to face problems and challenges of content moderation on their platforms.
The registration ban for heads of state has been issued since May last year. The platform prohibits its users from sharing the invitation code from their accounts with the head of state. This policy was even confirmed through their official accounts.
It is not known which head of state tried to enter Bluesky, but some US lawmakers and artists have been seen on the platform. This happened because of the polemic that occurred on Twitter until the platform changed its name to X.
By changing the account registration policy for the head of state, Bluesky will get more active users. This is a great step because Bluesky can already control content on their platform using independent filters.

This Ozon-based content filter with open sources can be arranged by users. With this filter, Bluesky does not offer a one-size algorithm in the user feed, but an algorithm that can be applied directly by its users.
Bluesky also continues to develop features that can make its app on par with Twitter. In the near future, the platform will launch hashtag support in the bio, share links simply by pressing its link, and various other features.
