Spotify Expands Audiobook Access To Premium Customers In Canada, Ireland, And New Zealand

JAKARTA - Spotify announced that starting April 9, Spotify Premium users in Canada, Ireland, and New Zealand will have access to up to 15 hours per month to listen to audiobooks on Spotify.

Previously, Spotify Premium subscribers in the United States, Britain, and Australia had access to this benefit over the past few months.

Spotify's Premium audiobook catalog now covers more than 250,000 titles, a significant increase from 200,000 audiobooks by the end of 2023.

Our Premium audiobook catalog, which is already available in the US, UK and Australia, is one of the largest subscription-based audiobook streaming platforms with 250,000 titles and continues to grow. We have reached 200,000 titles since late last year," Spotify wrote in its announcement.

Later, users who have reached the 15-hour limit can add more time to listen to audiobooks with a refill of 10 hours. In the new market, additional listening time is charged 14.99 Canadian dollars or equivalent to Rp176 thousand.

In another case, even if you listen to your audiobook that is not fully used for 15 hours on Spotify, the remaining amount of time will not be diverted to the following month.

Since last month, Spotify has offered only audiobook subscription packages in the US. At a price of 10 US dollars (Rp158 thousand). Apparently, this offer managed to attract many users.
