JAKARTA - The National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN) and Huawei held the 2024 BSSN-Huawei TechDay to equalize knowledge and strengthen the digital ecosystem supporting the capital city of the archipelago.
Carrying the theme of 'Wwise Communicating in Cyberspace', Huawei and BSSN hopes that awareness and understanding of the younger generation regarding security signs and utilization of cyberspace responsibly in the context of knowledge transfer and technology can be achieved.
In his remarks, BSSN Main Secretary Susilo Wibowo said, BSSN-Huawei TechDay 2024 is a follow-up to the memorandum of understanding between BSSN and Huawei to create educational and socialization containers for the use of information and communication technology (ICT) solutions within universities.
Throughout 2023, BSSN found more than 403 million malware anomalies, with 900 thousand of them being ransomware. The BSSN analysis revealed that the potential for cyber attacks in the form of ransomware, phishing, and advanced persistent threat (ATP) must be anticipated in 2024.
"The BSSN-Huawei TechDay program is the result of a close collaboration among digital exosystem stakeholders to maintain cyberspace security by strengthening the capacity and competence of digital talent at the tertiary level," said Susilo.
