JAKARTA - YouTube introduced a new tool at Creator Studio, which requires content creators to label their videos made with artificial intelligence technology.
So starting today, YouTube will require anyone who uploads realistic videos "made with transformed or synthetic media, including a generative AI" to label for transparency to the audience.
The new label is meant to strengthen transparency with the audience and build trust between content creators and viewers, wrote YouTube in its latest announcement.

However, YouTube insists that content that uses AI but does not appear realistic such as flying unicorns, filter adjustments, changing backgrounds, and adding beauty filters are not required to label its content.

The company also said that we will begin to see the label implemented across the platform and format YouTube in the next few weeks, starting with the YouTube app on mobile phones, and then on desktop and TV.
