Pinterest Launches AI Powered Tool To Find Fashion Ideas Based On Body Types

JAKARTA Pinterest, an image-based social media platform, launched a new feature powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI). This feature was developed to expand image search results on fashion ideas.

This new feature will be launched in the form of a dropdrown called Body Type. With this dropdrown, Pinterest users can look for clothes based on body shape and size and adjust them to their needs.

Pinterest Chief Product Officer, Sabrina Ellis, said that this tool can help users find fashion ideas that suit themselves. This feature can be used as a reference before users shop online.

"The body-type range increases representation on the platform and gives Pinterest users more deliberate choice and control over what they see on Pinterest," Ellis said, quoted from Pinterest's official blog on Thursday, March 14.

To use a Body Type dropdrown, users need to update their application first. After that, open any type of application and type any type of clothing in the search box, then click the search button to see the search results.

After the results appear, the user will see a body type dropdrown at the bottom of the search box. Users can choose four types of body by clicking the dropdrown. When one type is clicked, the search results will change.

The body-type range feature for the search for marriage-related content is only available in the United States and is being tested in Canada. Pinterest will launch its features globally at the end of the year alongside fashion for men.
