JAKARTA - Spotify's leading music streaming platform launched a new subscription package. However, this subscription is not for listening to songs, but for audiobook fans.
The new subscription package for this audiobook was presented after the company saw an increase in active users listening to audiobooks in the premium version.
"Since launching the audiobook in the Premium version, we have seen a 45% increase in free users who browse and interact with audiobook content every day," Spotify wrote in its announcement quoted Monday, March 4.
For this reason, Spotify has finally introduced a new package option for audiobook enthusiasts, called Audiobooks Access Tier.
Just launched for users in the United States alone, Audiobooks Access Tier will give users 15 hours of access to more than 200,000 audiobook titles on Spotify for $9.99 per month.
