JAKARTA - Huawei and PT XL Axiata Tbk (XL Axiata) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish strategic cooperation that focuses on an artificial intelligence (AI)-based digital business.

Signed during the Mobile World Congress (MWAC) 2024 at Barcelona, this collaboration aims to leverage AI technology power to accelerate and improve digital businesses, as well as optimize cloud systems.

Not only that, XL Axiata President Director & CEO Dian Siswarini also said that this partnership with Huawei would allow XL Axiata to accelerate the digital transformation process and improve services to customers.

"In the future, XL Axiata will cooperate more intensively with Huawei to develop AI technology and encourage better company operations," Dian said in a statement on Friday, March 1.

As for Huawei, this collaboration is a form of their commitment to utilizing AI technology, which can provide more value to its customers.

Later, this collaboration will focus on utilizing AI technology to accelerate the operation of XL Axiata's digital business, to support the development of better customer services and experiences.

XL Axiata also hopes that this collaboration will be able to produce better service personalization and produce the latest innovations for the needs of more than 57 million customers.

"Huawei will work intensively with XL Axiata to adopt AI solutions to strengthen operational excellence, streamline the process, and increase overall efficiency," concluded Dian.
