JAKARTA - Kaspersky researchers found an increase in the number of targeted ransomware groups on a global scale of 30 percent from 2022 to 2023.

In 2023, they managed to monitor closely and found around 60 targeted ransomware groups, compared to about 46 groups in 2022.

This targeted ransomware group usually attacks government entities, certain well-known organizations, or certain groups of people in an organization.
