SpaceX Investigated By California Institution For Cases Of Discrimination And Sexual Harassment

JAKARTA The California Department of Civil Rights (CRD) is investigating SpaceX, Elon Musk's private exchange company, on charges of discrimination and sexual harassment against women.

These allegations stem from a group of engineers involved in a case of a violation of the employment law filed by the National Labor Relations Council (NLRB). These engineers were fired for criticizing Elon Musk.

The six workers involved, quoted from Reuters, said that SpaceX's office, located in feasibility, California, did not provide job opportunities and career promotions for women. The company prioritizes men.

In addition, SpaceX is also accused of paying female workers lower than men's salaries despite their similar work, avoiding sexual or harassment comments, and responding to complaining engineers.

"SpaceX tolerates, forgives, and allows work environments that are not friendly to female employees and all genders that reject discrimination and harassment," the workers said in a written statement.

Lauriection, a lawyer for six workers who were fired by SpaceX, said engineers filed a complaint with the company so other engineers could work comfortably in a safe workplace, but these complaints were ignored.
