Neuralink's First Brain Implant Product Named Telepathy

JAKARTA Neuralink, a chip developer for the human brain, has given its first product a name. Elon Musk, founder of Neuralink, said that the name of this product is Telepathy.

Through his social media, Musk said that Telepathy had been paired with the first patient on Monday, January 29. The installation of impan to the brain is claimed to run smoothly and show promising results.

The first humans received implants from Neuralink yesterday and recovered well. Preliminary results show promising neuron spike detection, Musk said via platform X, formerly known as Twitter.

Patients who receive telepathy implants should be able to control the computer using only the brain. This is what Neuralink is trying to achieve even though the potential for danger and failure is quite high.

Therefore, Neuralink does not couple Telepathy to just anyone. In accordance with the conditions set by the company, patients who are entitled to Telepathy implants are people who have been paralyzed.

"It allows control over your phone or computer, and goes through almost all the devices, just by thinking. Initial users are those who lose the function of their limbs," Musk explained.

The owner of X Corp and Tesla mentioned Stephen Hawking, a physicist who has motor neuron disease. According to him, this technology can save people like Hawking so they can communicate faster.

Neuralink has obtained permission from the independent assessment board to recruit humans and conduct the first testing. However, this recruitment received a bad response from the Doctors Committee in the United States and several lawmakers.

According to them, Musk has deceived the public by saying that the installation of Neuralink implants is safe. In fact, dozens of monkeys that were part of the implant testing ended up being injected dead by Neuralink.

Records collected by the Doctors Committee for Responsible Treatment (PCRM) show that telepathy implants have a bad impact such as infections or implants that are detached from the skull.
