Google Play Plans To Add More Game Money Applications

JAKARTA Google Play's Global Trust and Security Partnership Director, Karan Gambir, said that their digital store will support more Real Money Game (RMG) applications.

RMG is a business that is done by playing games. Usually, users will bet or invest in the RMG application with real money. The plan, Google Play will add more RMG in June this year.

"We will launch this expanded RMG support in June to developers for its users in India, Mexico and Brazil, and plan to expand to users in more countries in the future," Gambir said in an official statement.

To support more RMG, Google Play has launched a pilot program, starting with game Rummy and Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS). This program was created so that developers can bring more RMG applications.

In fact, this program has been held since September last year. The grace period for testing the Rummy and DFS applications ends on January 15. However, Google Play intends to extend its time until June 30.

"This trial will end on June 30, 2024 and at that time developers can distribute the RMG application on Google Play to users in accordance with local law and our latest policies," explained Ghambir.

In addition to updating the trial policy, Google Play also plans to develop service rates for RMG. This is done to help maintain the ecosystem of applications on Android and Google Play.

"For developers who are already involved in the real money game world or those who want to expand their engagement, we hope this helps you prepare for future policy changes," concluded Ghambir.
