JAKARTA Spotify on Android has had problems in the last few days. Every time a user wants to listen to a song, the app can't be opened or just display a black screen.
This problem has occurred since Saturday, December 30. Some users on platform X, formerly known as Twitter, complained that their app could not be opened even though they had repeatedly deleted cacheaplications.
Whenever opened, Spotify only displays a black screen in two seconds and the app will stop automotively. Although users try to delete and re-download the app, their Spotify is still unusable.
In addition to apps that don't want to operate, some users say that Spotify can play songs, but in just a few seconds. After that, the songs that play will stop automatically like their internet network is having problems.

Citing from the 9to5google report, this problem didn't happen because of the internet network, but because of the beta version update. Recently, Spotify released a beta version for Android users. Most likely, this update brings a bug that interferes with experience users.
To date, Spotify has not confirmed that the beta version update has brought abug to the Android app. However, Spotify Cares' social media accounts on platform X have provided some advice to address the issue.
Spotify advises users to log out of the account first, then restart the app device and re-enter. If this problem continues, users are asked to contact them again so that Spotify can immediately address the problem.
