JAKARTA Platform X, formerly known as Twitter, wants to clarify their commitment to protecting children. Through a recent release, X emphasizes that children are their priority.
Since last year, platform X has continued to address issues related to sexual exploitation of children (CSE), ranging from eliminating accounts that have the potential to CSE to sending more than 98,000 reports to NCMEC CyberTipline, a centralized reporting system.
"On X, we do not tolerate sexual exploitation of children and we are determined to make X unfriendly to actors who seek to exploit minors in any way," X Safety wrote via the company's blog.
X's focus on overcoming CSE has not changed this year. From January to November, X has suspended more than 11 million accounts deemed to have violated CSE policies. This social media platform also raised the report to NCMEC CyberTipline to 430,000 reports.
"We are not only detecting more criminals more quickly, we are also building a new defense that proactively reduces the ability to find uploads containing this type of content," X explained.
Elon Musk's platform claims that Sexual Harassment Materials on Children (CSAM) have decreased. This can happen thanks to sophisticated technology from the company as well as increasingly active monitoring measures.

Some of the technologies they developed were automatic creation of NCMEC report systems, matching hash or code of mathematical calculations to Videos and GIFs, and launching search interventions for CSE keywords.
In addition, platform X is also working with various important organizations that actively fight CSeonline. Some of these organizations include NCMEC, CyberTipline manager, Tech Coalition, and WeProtect.
Of all these CSE eradication efforts, X said that their priorities will never change, either next year or in the following years. X is determined to address the CSE until the exploitation issue has ended.
"We will continue our large investment in this important field and expand our efforts to educate our users about the importance of helping us fight sexual exploitation of children online," concluded X.
