Bluesky Launches Ability To Hide Posts

JAKARTA - The social media platform competitor X, Bluesky, announced that it will begin rolling out several new features that include part of the app update version 1.61, starting today or December 27.

As for some of the features that you will find in Bluesky's latest version, the first is the ability to play videos and music in the link, directly in the app.

Simply put, the embedding of YouTube, SoundCloud, Spotify, and Twitch via a link on Bluesky can now be played live without having to leave the app to open other apps.

In addition, unlike X whose default settings are autoplay in videos, the player in the Bluesky app will not play the content automatically. So you have to trigger it with a single tap.

The second feature is, the ability to hide posts or Hide Posts. With this feature, your Bluesky post will be hidden from the feed, and other people won't be able to see it again.

This feature is still in beta, hidden posts have not been synchronized between your devices,' the company added in its announcement.
