JAKARTA - The WhatsApp messaging application does not stop explaining its aims and objectives regarding the new privacy policy. In the application you will see a new screen where WhatsApp describes a number of things that have changed and are not in its privacy policy.

However, the explanation was no different from what was done before. Based on the report, the messaging application effort under Facebook's control is intended to clear confusion among WhatsApp users regarding the new messaging policy.

"Today, we want to inform you of the ways we will do to ask WhatsApp users to review the terms of service and privacy policy. We saw a lot of misinformation circulating about this update. Therefore, it is important for us to clear up the confusion caused by this misinformation, ”WhatsApp wrote in its official statement, Friday, February 19.

WhatsApp revealed that in the next few weeks, it will display various information in applications related to the policy which is considered controversial. Especially those related to users' worries about the new policy.

WhatsApp expects users of its messaging application to understand the new rules. The company also appealed to receive updates to be able to use the messaging application.

Through an official explanation, WhatsApp revealed that it has decided to charge WhatsApp business users to be able to display services on the platform. Meanwhile, general WhatsApp users will not be charged the same as business WhatsApp.

Facebook's involvement in several shopping features is intended so that businesses can manage inventory in various applications under its auspices.

"We display more information directly on WhatsApp so that users can choose whether they are willing to communicate with the business or not," WhatsApp said.

Not only that, WhatsApp also explained that the company understands some of its users who want to know the various features that are presented in other messaging applications. However, if there is a messaging company that does not implement end-to-end encryption, then the application can find out the chat of its users.

The WhatsApp application offers end-to-end encryption so that it cannot read the chats of its users. In fact, internet providers cannot even peer messages between users.

"We are very careful in making decisions and will continue to develop new ways to fulfill this responsibility with less information, not more," WhatsApp said.

Previously, WhatsApp planned to implement its new privacy policy on February 8, 2021. The decision was eventually pushed back to May 15, 2021. The messaging service company postponed its implementation because it understood that many users were confused about the new policy.
