JAKARTA - In a media briefing held some time ago, Dell Technologies highlighted new trends that will form the technology industry in 2024 and in the future.

According to John Roese, Global Chief Technology Officer, Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology will be at the core of the information technology industry (IT) globally.

Roese stressed that dialogue on GenAI is currently going from theory to practice, with training infrastructure and costs shifted to inference and operational costs with greater leadership responsibilities.

"Although GenAI has sparked very creative ideas about how GenAI will transform business and the world, few are real and measurable GenAI activities," Roese said in a statement.

Entering 2024, Roese added, we will see the first wave of GenAI enterprises projects reaching a level of readiness that will reveal the important role of GenAI which is not yet understandable at this time.

The implementation of AI in Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) has experienced rapid growth. Peter Marrs, President of Dell Technologies explained that with the advantage of innovation, the APJ region is in pole position to implement AI in various cases.

However, realizing the potential challenges such as bias and cultural nuances that must be considered in the implementation of AI, Marrs said the need for cooperation between stakeholders.

"Whatever stage of the journey they are in, Dell is in the right position to become a strategic partner and help them through this complex ecosystem," he added.
