Kominfo Service Prioritizes Digital Transformation In Villages For Indonesia Gold 2045

JAKARTA - President Director of the Telecommunication and Information Accessibility Agency (Bakti) of the Ministry of Communications and Informatics Fadhilah Mathar said that digital transformation in villages is Bakti's top priority towards Indonesia Gold 2045.

"What we want to pursue is, we want to make Indonesia advanced, a country with a world economy ranked 4 or 5 in 2045. That can't happen if we don't simulate the village," said Fadhilah at the Media Gathering Kominfo event on Friday, November 24 in Jakarta.

According to him, with the internet and communication infrastructure that has been built, the acquisition of science can be absorbed more quickly by village communities, so that digital transformation can develop even better.

"Well, these targets can be proven by the development of digitalization in the village, which turns out to provide growth 5 times bigger. Why? Because they really first mover, they have something and then grow," he said.

Fadhilah said that this reason made the growth of digitalization in the village bigger than the growth in Java, which is even approaching the economic growth level.

"Well, that's what we expected," he said.

Although not yet ideal, Fadhilah also mentioned that an inclusive digital transformation in the current village could contribute to the influence of 0.7-1 percent of Indonesia's economic growth.

"We hope that with our inclusiveness, villages will also contribute to our growth, which we hope if we want to become an advanced Indonesia at least at 6 percent, ideally 6.2 to 6.5 per year," he concluded.

Bakti has also carried out several programs to improve digital transformation in villages, starting from providing internet access, presenting Base Transceiver Station (BTS), and finally Bakti has successfully launched SATRIA-1, with a capacity of 150 giga byte per second (gbps).
