Meta Ray-Ban Smart Glasses

Ray-Ban glasses were first exhibited at the Meta Connect event two months ago. In creating these smart glasses, Meta collaborates with EssilorLuxottica, a multinational French-Italy company engaged in eye care and glasses.

This latest version of Ray-Ban Meta is an increase from the first generation of Ray-Ban Meta which was launched around September 2021.

Some of the latest improvements to Ray-Ban Meta include:

Audio

Meta adds new specially designed speakers with larger bass, higher maximum volume, and improved directed audio so that it can reduce audio leakage for better calls, music and podcasts even in noisy or windy environments.

When you record a video, this series of five new designed microphones also supports immersive audio recording, so you can capture the sound exactly as you hear, at the back of the front, or from any side.

Camera

Power up

Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses are powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon AR1 Gen1 Platform, which allows for higher-quality photo and video processing and faster computing. These glasses also come with redesigned and streamlined charging containers, with a total usage of 36 hours.

Comfort and control

Meta reduces the weight of glasses and clips them in all directions, making them lighter and more comfortable. Interestingly, these glasses are also waterproof (IPX4). As well as improving touchpads and adding earcon interactions so that glasses respond to your orders faster and more reliable.

Live Streaming

Meta also says that you can stream live from glasses to Facebook or Instagram. You can see comments in the preview, or tap and hold on to the eyeglass side to listen to them.

Meta AI

Lastly, the company has also integrated Meta AI, Meta's advanced conversation assistant. By saying 'Hi Meta,' you can interact with Meta AI to trigger creativity, gain information, and control features using your voice.
