Blizzard Presents a New Tank Hero for Overwatch 2 Named Mauga

JAKARTA - Blizzard Entertainment has released a new trailer for Overwatch 2 which reveals a new playable Tank Hero named Mauga, which will be released alongside Season 8 on December 5.

According to the announcement, Blizzard revealed that Mauga is a powerful and scrappy Tank Hero who will tear through the competition with his fiery and volatile chain weapons.

“Equipped with two chain guns (Gunny and Cha-Cha), Mauga is ready to attack his opponent's front lines and tear apart anyone who gets in his way with a multitude of weapons. Get to know Mauga's set of abilities before his official debut in Season 8," reads the trailer description.

It is also stated that Mauga has equipment designed to break through the front lines and fight with his opponents in close combat, using two powerful Chainguns that can be fired individually or simultaneously.

"Paired with his Berserker Passive, which grants Mauga temporary health whenever he deals critical damage, he's like a mountain on the battlefield," the company added.

Finally, when he really wants to tango up close with his enemy, Mauga can use Cage Fight, his ultimate ability. Cage Fight traps nearby opponents in a cylindrical fighting ring.

More than that, Blizzard also outlined future Overwatch 2 content, including new game mode “CLASH,” new map “Hanaoka,” new damage Heroes, and new support Heroes.

Overwatch 2 is now available in Early Access for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC via Steam and Battle.net.
