Platform X always gets the spotlight because of the rapid disinformation spread and is easy for the public to accept. However, the widespread disinformation this time made Elon Musk speak up.

Reporting from Independent, a series of false information about the war between Israel and Hamas spread across X. Even the Taliban had to speak up because their group was rumored to be participating in the conflict.

In addition, there is a clip spread across X and is said to be evidence of Israeli bombing of an office tower in Gaza. However, the video that broke out was a video of the old fighting between the two that took place in 2021.

Various disinformations that were deliberately disseminated and made the situation heat up received a lot of attention. Not a few people criticized X for the severity of disinformation on the platform.

Therefore, Elon Musk shared his tweet on X on October 8. He asked all users X not to confuse the atmosphere by spreading false information.

In addition, Musk asked all X users to side with the facts and find out the truth first before spreading it to others.

As usual, try to be as close to the truth as possible, even for things you don't like. This platform aims to maximize the signal/noise of a human collective," Musk wrote.

However, X users still blame Musk. In fact, they consider Musk to be a factor that exacerbates the situation and alludes to antisemitism issues that have been clarified before when they met Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
