Pine-Sol maker Clorox announced on Monday 18 September that its first quarter results could have "material impact" from a cyberattack last month that damaged part of the company's IT infrastructure and caused widespread disruption to its operations.

The home product maker said on August 14 that unauthorized activity on his computer network forced them to deactivate their system, resulting in delays in order processing.

Clorox said it had continued production on most of their manufacturing sites, but could not estimate how long it would take to return to a fully normal operation.

The company did not provide details on the financial impact and said it was still evaluating the situation. Cloox shares fell more than 2% in pre-open trade.
