JAKARTA - Minister of Communication and Information Budi Arie Setiadi invites all cellular telecommunications service providers to work together to encourage the development of the telecommunications industry ecosystem in Indonesia.

Because according to Budi, strong synergy between sectors is very important to provide services to the community, in the midst of a growing digital ecosystem.

"Which one we can synergize later, especially in digitalization services for the people, because this digital ecosystem continues to grow," said Minister of Communication and Information Budi in his official broadcast, quoted Wednesday, July 26.

Not to forget, the Minister of Communication and Information asked cellular telecommunications service providers to take a role in preventing the spread of gambling advertising content through the Short Message System (SMS). Budi asked the company to block the numbers that spread ads or gambling content.

"cellular operators must also help, block numbers (spreader of gambling advertisements, ed.) this should not be used," he said.

In addition, regarding the issue of data leakage that is still ongoing in Indonesia, Budi requested that cellular operators as private data collectors be more careful in maintaining the security of customers' personal data so that data leakage does not occur.

"We must protect institutions and institutions that collect personal data, so that they are not used properly," he said.
