According to Spotify, this subscription price change was made so that they could continue to provide innovation in the midst of a growing market landscape since the service was launched.
"This update will help us continue to provide value to fans and artists on our platform," Spotify said in its official announcement, quoted Tuesday, July 25.
Spotify CEO, Daniel Ek, previously revealed that he would increase the price of his services in the company's earnings report last April, at a time when all of its competitors, including Apple Music, also carried out similar policies.
This new price also applies globally where the Spotfiy market is in it, such as Indonesia, the United States (US), Britain, Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong and others.
In Indonesia alone, price increases are quite varied and apply to almost all monthly subscription packages, except for Mini packages that still have old prices.

Family Packages (Rp86.900 per month for Six Accounts)
- For families living at home- Blocking explicit music- Listening to ad-group Session-downloading 10rb songs per device on five prepaid or subscription devices
